Terms of Sale (International)

These terms apply to orders placed on easyflow.co.kr (the "Site") that are paid in US dollars and shipped outside the Republic of Korea. The seller is Easyflow Inc. ("we", "us"), a company registered in the Republic of Korea (Business Registration No. 117-81-49955; Rm 1709, Samgu Bldg., 40 Cheongpa-ro, Yongsan-gu, Seoul 04373, Republic of Korea; tel. +82 2 705 7770; support@easyflow.co.kr). Orders paid in Korean won and delivered in Korea are governed by our Korean-language terms.

This summary is for convenience only; the sections below prevail.

Ordering and payment

1. Who can order

You can order as a registered member or as a guest. Members can also sign up or sign in with a Google, Naver, Kakao, Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, GitHub, X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Discord, GitLab, Amazon, Spotify or Twitch account, where the Site offers it. Guests set an order password to look up or cancel their order. Business customers are welcome; some sections below apply differently to consumers and to businesses, as stated.

2. How a contract is made

  1. When you place an order we send you an email confirming that we have received it. This is not yet acceptance.
  2. The contract is formed when your payment is confirmed. We may decline an order — for example if an item is out of stock, a price was clearly shown in error, or delivery to the destination is not possible or not permitted — in which case we will tell you promptly and refund anything you have paid.

3. Prices and currency

  1. Prices are in US dollars. The amount shown at checkout is the amount charged; it is not recalculated at an exchange rate.
  2. Exports from Korea are zero-rated for Korean VAT, so no Korean VAT is added to international orders.
  3. Shipping is shown separately at checkout before you pay.

4. Payment

  1. We accept PayPal and bank transfer in USD, as shown at checkout.
  2. For bank transfers, the sender pays all remittance and intermediary bank fees. Your order is paid once the full amount reaches our account; confirmation can take up to one business day.

Shipping and customs

5. Shipping

  1. We ship by Korea Post EMS to the countries available at checkout. The shipping rate is based on the billed weight (item weight plus packaging) and the destination.
  2. Parcels above the weight limit for a destination are split into several boxes, each charged separately; the total is shown at checkout.
  3. We dispatch within 3 business days after payment is confirmed; if an item is delayed, we will tell you the reason and the expected date. Delivery times quoted by carriers are estimates and are not guaranteed. Made-to-order and programmed items, work services, and parts we source after your order because they are not in stock are supplied within the period shown on the product page or agreed before you order.
  4. You can track your parcel from the order page using the tracking number.

6. Customs, duties and import taxes

  1. We ship on a Delivered-at-Place (DAP) basis. Import duties, import VAT/GST and customs brokerage fees charged by your country are the responsibility of the recipient and are not collected by us.
  2. A commercial invoice travels with every parcel. Some countries require extra information from the recipient (for example, a tax ID such as the CPF in Brazil); please provide it at checkout.
  3. If a parcel is refused or returned because duties were not paid or required information was missing, the return shipping cost may be deducted from any refund, unless the law of your country says otherwise.

Cancellations, returns and warranty

7. Cancellation before shipment

You can cancel an unpaid order at any time. After payment, you can request cancellation from the order page before the parcel is dispatched; we will confirm and refund you in full. This does not apply to the items and services in section 8.4 once programming, production or work has started.

8. Returns and refunds

  1. Change of mind. We do not accept returns for change of mind on international orders. However, if you are a consumer and the law of your country gives you a right of withdrawal (for example, 14 days from delivery in the EU and the UK), you may exercise that right by sending us a clear statement within that period (for example by email; you may use the model withdrawal form at the end of these terms). Please return the items within 14 days of telling us, at your own cost. You are liable only for any loss in value caused by handling the items beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning. Business customers cannot cancel for change of mind.
  2. Business customers (buying for production, resale or other business purposes) must inspect items promptly on receipt and report shortages, visible faults or wrong items within 7 days of receipt; faults that could not be found on inspection must be reported promptly after discovery and within 6 months of receipt. Refunds to business customers are made within 5 business days of receiving the returned items.
  3. Faulty, damaged or wrong items. Please contact us as soon as possible with photos; this does not shorten any period under your local law. Please check items on arrival and report any problem within 7 days where possible. We test development tools and other working products before dispatch and keep the records. Components are not finished products: problems that appear after they are built into your circuit or product are not faults unless the component itself is shown to be defective. Damage caused after delivery by handling, electrostatic discharge, over-voltage or over-current, incorrect wiring or soldering, moisture or physical impact is not a fault. We test returned items and tell you the result; if the damage was caused in this way, we return the item to you, do not replace or refund it, and you pay the shipping both ways. We will pay the return shipping and send a replacement or a refund, as you prefer.
  4. Refunds are made within 3 business days after we receive the items back or you give us proof of sending them, whichever is earlier (for orders not yet shipped, within 3 business days of cancellation), to the original payment method (PayPal refunds in USD; bank transfers to the account you give us). When you withdraw under the law of your country, we refund the price of the items and, where that law requires it (for example in the EU), the standard outbound shipping cost. Import duties and taxes are collected by your country, not by us, so we cannot refund them; you may be able to reclaim them from your customs authority.
  5. Items that cannot be returned. Unlike general-purpose goods, five kinds of our products cannot be returned or refunded for change of mind:
    • Downloads — a downloadable product is delivered once the download is complete. Files cannot be taken back and can be copied, so at checkout we ask you to expressly agree that you lose the right to cancel once the download is complete.
    • Programmed (written) items — chips or devices that we program with the firmware, voice data or other content you ask for can only be used by you and cannot be resold to anyone else. They cannot be returned once programming has started. Programming is treated as starting on the business day after we receive your data, or, for a repeat order of data we have already programmed, on the business day after we receive the order; until then you may cancel. We tell you this and ask for your agreement before we start.
    • Made-to-order items — products we build individually to your order, such as PCB assemblies, are made to your own design files (concept documents, schematics, Gerber files, bill of materials) and cannot be resold to anyone else. They cannot be returned once production has started. We tell you this and ask for your agreement before we start. Whether an item is faulty is judged against the design files agreed with you; errors in the design files or concept documents you supplied are not faults.
    • Paid work services — amounts charged for work we do rather than for goods, such as voice editing fees (charged per voice) and firmware development fees for implementing MCU functions, voice actor and studio fees for outsourced recording, and outsourced services such as parts sourcing, assembly and testing, are not returnable items. Subject to the last sentence of this paragraph, they cannot be cancelled or refunded once the work has started, and they are not refunded if you return parts (such as chips) bought with them. Before the work starts you may cancel for a full refund; for voice editing, we refund the voices we have not started. Whether firmware is faulty is judged against the function specification agreed with us; functions not in that specification are not faults. Outsourced work starts when, at your request, we confirm the booking with the voice actor or studio, or place the order for parts, assembly or testing with our supplier. We tell you this and ask for your agreement before we start. Where the law of your country gives consumers a right to withdraw from a service contract, we start only at your express request, you lose that right once the work is complete, and if you withdraw after we have started you pay for the work done up to that point.
    • Software donations — a donation you make to support our software development is a voluntary gift, not payment for goods or services, so it is not refundable. Payments made in error (for example, a duplicate payment or a wrong amount) are refunded.
This does not affect your rights if an item is faulty or not as described, including if we write data different from what you asked for or build or implement an item differently from the agreed design files or specification. Where we think there is a risk of faults, we may first supply a sample (which may be charged) for you to check; items made to the same specification as a sample you approved are not faulty or not as described in respect of that specification, except for hidden faults you could not have found by checking the sample. Whether an item was programmed correctly is decided by code checksum. If the checksum of the data read back from the chip or device differs from the checksum of the data you sent, or the data cannot be read, it is a writing error and we will replace or refund the item. If the checksums match, the item is presumed to have been programmed as you asked; problems caused by errors in your own data, or by functions you did not check before ordering, are not faults or writing errors. We tell you the checksum of the data we receive and keep it with our work records. A fault in the component itself is still treated as a fault, whatever the checksum.

9. Warranty

We will repair, replace or refund items that are defective at delivery. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the legal guarantee and other statutory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.

Other terms

10. Downloads and free software

Free programs and documents are provided "as is", subject to any licence that comes with them. Paid downloads are licensed for your own use and may not be redistributed.

11. Export control and sanctions

We must comply with the export control and sanctions laws that apply to us. We may refuse, hold or cancel an order (with a full refund) where shipping it could breach those laws. You are responsible for complying with the import rules of your country.

12. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it. This does not limit liability for our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or the statutory rights of consumers.

We supply items to the specifications stated on the product page. You are responsible for checking that an item suits your own product or application, unless we have confirmed its suitability in writing. Our components are not designed for life-support medical devices, vehicle or aircraft safety systems, nuclear facilities or other uses where a failure could directly endanger life or health; such use requires our prior written agreement. Technical documents, example circuits and sample code on the Site are provided for reference and must be validated before use in your products. These limits do not apply to our intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or to product-liability or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

13. Privacy

We handle your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Law and disputes

14. Governing law and disputes

  1. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence, and you may also bring proceedings in the courts of your country.
  2. For business customers, the Seoul Central District Court has exclusive jurisdiction, and the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG) does not apply.
  3. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly through our inquiry board or by email.

15. Language and changes

These terms are written in English; if we provide a translation, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by law. We may update these terms; the version shown on the Site when you place your order applies to that order.

Model withdrawal form

Complete and return this form only if you are a consumer and wish to withdraw from the contract under the law of your country (see section 8.1). You may also simply email us.
