Effective 19 September 2026 · Version 1.2 · Easyflow Inc.
Pado Wave Editor collects no personal information and does not connect to our servers on its own. There are no accounts, no sign-in, and no analytics or telemetry components that report how you use the app. The audio you edit and everything the app creates stay on your PC. Website links in the app open in your default browser only when you click them.
1. Personal information collected or transmitted
None. The app does not collect your name, email address, phone number, location, device identifiers or usage statistics, and sends nothing to Easyflow Inc. or anyone else. It uses no advertising identifier and contains no third-party advertising or analytics SDK.
2. Microphone
The app asks for microphone permission so that it can record. The microphone is used only while you are recording, and the recording is saved only to a file in a location you choose. Recordings are never transmitted, analysed or shared. You can turn the permission off at any time in Windows Settings › Privacy & security › Microphone; recording then stops working, and file editing continues to work.
3. Data stored on your PC
The app stores the data it needs to work, listed below, only in a folder on your PC (%LOCALAPPDATA%). This data is never sent anywhere, and Easyflow Inc. cannot see it.
| Data | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|
Settings (settings.json) | Window layout, language, editing options | Until you delete it |
| Auto-save copies | Recovering your work after an unexpected shutdown | Deleted once recovered; oldest removed when the size limit is reached |
| Undo history | Undoing edits | Discarded when the app closes |
| Decode and waveform caches | Faster playback and waveform display for compressed audio | Unused entries removed automatically |
| Clipboard temporary files | Copying and pasting long selections | Cleaned up after use, with a total size cap |
| Recent files list | Showing recently opened files in the menu | Until you clear the list or delete your settings |
| Help viewer state | Last topic viewed, zoom level | Until you delete it |
The audio files you edit stay where you opened them; the app does not copy them elsewhere. The recent files list contains file paths, and you can clear it in the app if you prefer. Performance diagnostic logs are created only in developer diagnostic builds; public releases do not include that feature.
4. Internet connection
Pado Wave Editor does not connect directly to any server, including ours. When it is installed from the Microsoft Store, the app asks the Microsoft Store service in Windows at startup whether a new version is available. The Microsoft Store handles this check, and the app sends no personal information or audio with it. If a new version exists, the app only shows a notice; the Microsoft Store downloads and installs it only when you select Update Now.
- Installation and updates of the app from the Microsoft Store are handled by Windows and the Microsoft Store and are governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- If you click a website link inside the app, such as Pado Wave Editor on the Web in the Help menu or the website address in the About window, Windows opens it in your default browser. The browser makes the connection, and the app sends no personal information or usage data with it. The only addition is that Pado Wave Editor on the Web puts a language code at the end of the address (for example
/en) so the page opens in the same language as the app. As with any website visit, the website may keep an access log (such as your IP address). Your use of the website is then governed by the website privacy policy. - Before we add any other feature that uses the internet, such as in-app purchases, we will update this policy first.
5. Components the app uses
The help viewer uses the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime to show the help documents included with the app, and does not load external web pages. WebView2 includes Microsoft Defender SmartScreen, which may send information to Microsoft for safety checks; this is provided and controlled by Microsoft and governed by the Microsoft Privacy Statement. The open-source components in the app and their licence notices are listed in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, installed with the app.
6. Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no personal information, including age.
7. Your rights
Because no personal information is collected, Easyflow Inc. holds no data about you to access, correct or delete. The data the app stores on your PC is entirely under your control and is removed when you uninstall the app or delete the Pado Wave Editor folder under %LOCALAPPDATA%.
8. Changes to this policy
If a change in features changes how data is handled, we will update this document and change the effective date and version at the top. Significant changes will also be noted in the app's release notes.
